Major Projects Executed

Agriculture Environment Projects Co. has undertaken a number of major Landscape and Irrigation Projects from the Ministry of Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Defense and various other ministries, organizations.

Some major projects are listed below:

 

1. MOTORWAYS PROJECT:
This is the largest project of Ministry of Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources in the State of Kuwait which was awarded to us before the Iraqi invasion and completed in September, 1995. It involved the maintenance of existing plants, the new planting of more than 200,000 of various types and installation of a network of automatic irrigation system.

2. GARDEN DISTRICTS – 2, 6, 11 & 12:
These projects involved the maintenance of the greenery and it’s irrigation in Salmiya, Rumathiya, Salwa, Hawali, Shuwaikh, Sulaibikhat, Doha, Fintas, Sabahiya, Riqqa,

Hadiya, Mangaf, Abu-Halifa, Dahar, Mahboula, Fahaheel and Ahmadi and the Gulf road in the above areas. In Fintas, a huge underground reservoir with it’s pumping station was maintained by Arabi to take care of the landscaping of Fintas Super-block Infrastructure Project.

In Sulaibikhat, we executed & beautified the biggest Roundabout “Al-Auddam Roundabout” having a Lawn Area of 30,000m2, adorned with a variety of flowers, which was given the new name “UNITED NATIONS ROUNDABOUT” on the occasion of 50th anniversary of United Nations Organization (UNO). These Projects were completed by us on 30.10.1994.

3. GARDEN DISTRICT 3, 4 & 8:
These projects were awarded to us in the second term from November, 1994 to October, 1997 to maintain and execute the Landscape & Irrigation in the areas Shuwaikh, Doha, Sulaibikhat, Salmiya, Rumathiya, Salwa, Hawali, Rabiya, Jaleeb Al Shyoukh, Firdous, Al-Andalous, Al-Rai, etc.

4. GARDEN DISTRICT – 7:
At present, we are maintaining the landscape and irrigation works in Omariya, Farwaniya, Khaitan, Nuzha, Subhan.

6. KUWAIT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT:
This project was awarded by DGCA to us for 1997 – 1998 for the entire maintenance and execution of landscape and irrigation system in and outside of Kuwait International Airport. This project is again awarded to us for another term – from 2001 to 2002.

7.  AL- BIDHA

8. PROJECT FOR H.H. THE CROWN PRINCE & PRIME MINISTER OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT - SHEIKH SAAD ABDULLAH SALEM AL-SABAH:
We have designed and executed an Automatic Irrigation System for Sulaibiya Palace Park / Farm, as well as Jeliaa and Shaab Palaces. These systems are still being maintained by us.

9. AMIRI DIWAN PROJECT:
This is the most prestigious and glamorous project awarded to us by MPW in 1993 for designing & installation of a complete Landscape and Irrigation Networks at Amiri Diwan “SIEF PALACE”. This also includes the supply and installation of Interior Plants. After the completion of this project on 31.12.1999, it was taken over by the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs from MPW for administration and awarded to us from 01.01.2000 for a period of 3 years.

10. AL-SHARQ WATERFRONT PROJECT:
This project involves the construction and maintenance of Landscape and Irrigation works surrounding the shopping complexes and other buildings at Al-Sharq Sea Front on Gulf Street, Owned by the National Real Estate Company.

11. KUWAIT OIL COMPANY:
This is an extensive 4 years project starting from 01.11.1998 for the execution and maintenance of Landscape in KOC – Ahmadi areas. Apart from this, we have executed several irrigation works for KOC.

INDOOR PLANTS

This section was established in 1997 to provide a variety of Indoor Plants to our valued customers such as Ministers, Private Villas and Companies. Some of the special projects under taken for supply and maintenance of indoor plants are Amiri Diwan, Bayan palace, Indian Embassy. These premises are adorned with a large variety of beautiful indoor plants, imported from Holland and being maintained by Arabi Company.

NURSERY AND FARM

Arabi Company is having a large nursery with more than 400 species of ornamental trees, shrubs, hedges, climbers, ground covers and flower plants. Arabi Nursery is the largest nursery in terms of quality, quality and variety of plants. It won the BEST NURSERY AWARD in 1994 from the Department of Agriculture, Kuwait.

A farm at Wafra, specialized in growing Paspalum ageratum, a most suitable and successful grass for Kuwait climatic conditions. The farm is known as one of the best reliable source in Kuwait to supply the best quality Paspalum vaginatum SOD and stolons as well as other type of grass like St.Augustine , Zoysia, Lippia etc. to establish quality lawns in the country.
